Today we serve as leaders of the homegroup ministry in a Baptist Church in Aylesbury which has 23 homegroups with over 50 leaders and a total of 250 people regularly attending. Writing this book has come about as a request from those who have encouraged us to put our years of experience into print as a practical resource and encouragement to small group leaders. Although we have been involved in the leadership of homegroups for many years, we still consider that we have a great deal to learn, or in some cases re-learn. We would be embarrassed if we gave the impression that we were the finished articles, as far as homegroup leadership is concerned. Together we have written this book as honestly as we know how. We were first introduced to the principle of Homegroups in the early 1980s. The terminology ?Homegroup? was new to us even though we had been running small groups for many years. This was the beginning of our ministry with homegroups which now spans over 25 years.
